The Elephant Man
The Elephant Man
With the success of Merrick, the Elephant Man in New York behind me, I would have said it's back to earth with a bump, were it not for the fact that the last couple of weeks have seen me in the Tardis working with Dr Who and then a call to audition for Steven Spielberg... It never rains but...
That said, it's the start of a new academic year and booking is already underway on my current storytelling in schools offering: KINGS, QUEENS, JACKS & JOKERS: classic tales from around the world. To find out more and to book
As a quick introduction: my storytelling events are always bespoke, with content developed in consultation in order to meet your specific needs. I've developed the work I've been doing at Shakespeare's Globe theatre, where I'm an associate artist, and offer the original tales that inspired the bard to wrote his plays as an exhiliarating and fun way into his study. But I also offer trickster, family, animal tales etc... everything that encourages literacy, creativity, fun and engagement.
As a workshop leader for the Arvon Foundation, the Prince's Trust, numerous theatres, countless educational establishments, as well as for adult storytelling circles such as the Flying Donkeys, Peak Performance and the Storytelling Café, I'm known for my ability not only to adapt my approach to suit the relevant audience, but to engage even the most difficult and reluctant (and that's just the adults...) I'm also able to offer active, participative workshops to accompany my storytelling. Do take a look and get in touch.
For those interested in my acting and voice over work: my reviews, news, CV and audio reel can be found under the PROFILE, AUDIO REEL, REVIEWS and GALLERY sections.
In other news:
Kids Industries, for whom we wrote The Aquafresh Nurdle Storybook, have won Aquafresh a Media Week Gold Award for Best Media Idea and Best Health Campaign, and it's official, I (and 850 other like-minded souls) am a Guinness World Record Holder for the most ukuleles played at any one time...
